Yes, it’s that time of the year where you know that summer is coming and you want to work out extra hard because with summer comes bikinis. I’m keeping my Yoga routine going at home, but adding in some gym time and running in the park as well. If you’ve read about my minimal capsule wardrobe journey, then you know that I left gym clothes / activewear out of my count. However, I’d like to keep myself in check so that I don’t carry my old bad shopping habits into this category! For this reason I’ve created a gym capsule wardrobe. A set number of items that I can switch out with the seasons if needed.
MY GYM CAPSULE WARDROBE RULES
1 Pair Of Shoes
That’s it! For me, I’m sure to work out 3-4 times a week when the weather is nice. If it’s more than that, it’s usually just my morning yoga at home, which gets a regular tee and leggings. If you work out more often, you may allow yourself more items, but personally this works with my once a week laundry schedule without me having to re-wear something smelly! Ugh.
GYM CAPSULE WARDROBE: TOPS
A good sports bra
A tank top
A sports tee
A sporty long sleeved shirt
*Be sure to get actual sportswear for your gym capsule! It’s a bit pricier than a regular tee or tank, but the cooling factors and sweat control can really make a difference!

Moment of Honesty: How great my butt looks in workout pants basically always encourages me to keep going!
Moment of Honesty Pt 2: Sometimes the sweatpants are also great for pizza nights on the couch, totally breaking your diet.
GYM CAPSULE WARDROBE: THE SHOES
I feel like one pair of great shoes is all you need. If your workout is specific, like, hiking a mountain, maybe you’ll need something different. But in general, I’ll be able to stick to a good pair of running shoes!
